Corporate EHS Manager for seven food repackaging warehouses. Developed a 5 year strategy and a 3 year tactical plan. Developed and implemented an environmental, health and safety manual and all applicable programs for the corporation and for each facility including a business continuity plan, emergency response plans, incident reporting and investigation, medical and first aid, bloodborne pathogens, ergonomics, hazard identification, industrial hygiene, HAZCOM, machine guarding and ammonia refrigeration. Developed and provided training for EHS programs. Am a change agent for the company culture at all facilities. Worked independently to ensure that regulated sources maintained compliance with the Clean Air Act (CAA) and Indiana laws (326 IAC). Determined source of air pollution, analyzed problems, and recommended a course of action to bring a violator into compliance, including gathering of evidence and serving as an expert witness at adjudicatory proceedings. Provided compliance, enforcement and engineering expertise in industrial sectors, NSPS, MACTs, and NESHAPs for the agency. Provided technical assistance on Toxic Release Inventory (SARA 313), air permitting and compliance (CAA), hazardous waste disposal and reduction (RCRA), Rule 6 storm water, water pollution reduction (CWA NPDES treatment and pretreatment permits) and safety regulations (OSHA & MSHA) to entities. Wrote SOP’s incorporating Lean and Pollution Prevention Practices into the Branch programs. Promoted and conducted confidential multimedia pollution prevention (P2) opportunity assessments using LEAN and Continuous Improvement concepts and reported findings to the manufacturing companies' management. In the last two quarters of 2008, saved three companies over $1,144,630 and reduced one company's air emissions of regulated pollutants by over 5 tons through these assessments. The company with the reduced air emissions was able to go from a Title V air permit to a Federally Enforceable Standard Operating Permit (FESOP). Assisted members of Partners for Pollution Prevention Program and Environmental Stewardship Program in pollution reduction calculations. Reviewed applications for New Source Review permits, such as new source Part 70 and FESOP permits, and modifications, revisions and amendments to these permits under the CAA. Drafted approvals under the CAA and the Indiana Administrative Code (326 IAC).
