Project SuperintendentShangri-La Construction Dec 2012 - Apr 2013Century City, Los AngelesProject Superintendent on an 87,000 sq’ office TI for a large corporation on the 40th thru 42nd floors of an upscale high rise building in Century City. Challenges faced upon this project include a tight schedule (16 weeks), very high end finishes, limited access for materials and a very demanding client. Work encompassed reworking the core area including elevator lobbies, public restrooms, IT & electrical rooms, installing an open stair between the three floors and full office development with glass, fabric & wood partitions, a gym, maternal care room, showers, collaboration & meeting rms and 2 full Café’s. Project scheduled completion was by the end of April 2013 and will provide work space for up to 500 employees.

Work involved heavy steel re-inforcment of the existing masonry exterior and interior walls to the roof of the steel post and beam construction.

Project SuperintendentConsolidated Contracting Services, Inc. Aug 2010 - Aug 2012San Diego, Menifee & Thousand OaksField site Superintendent on construction projects. Responsible for job mobilization, assisting in obtaining permits, coordinating project with associates, design team & client, scheduling and coordinating contractors, safety onsite, SWPPP plan implementation, quality control of work, associated site paperwork (rfi's, submittals, cmp schedules, COR's...etc), arranging & walking inspections, reviews & attending associated project meetings1) Project Superintendent on a family health clinic project, an $11 million AARA $’s- full service health clinic -OSHPD 3. A three story full site development ground-up 30,000 sq ft structural steel frame steel stud and plastered exterior with block veneer completed June 2012. Certified as minimum LEED silver, it contains full clinic facilities. Fitting the building with these services and 86 parking spaces on the 1 ½ acre site was challenging and required near -0- pl line construction with retaining walls and mech. stabilized earthen (MSE) walls. The veneer at the building was red split faced block, soldier coursed to resemble brick to match the finish on site walls/trash enclosure, etc. 2) Project Superintendent for an electric utility service ctr. Prefabrication Building TI/Ground-up & Admin Building remodel ($2+ M). Fast-track project finished early & includes a new 3900 square foot addition on existing Pre-Fab warehouse/office; also being renovated. Site enhancements included an added canopy over a fuel island (5,000 sq.’) and a massive truck canopy (16,400 sq.’) with a 130 kWh solar power array back fed to the “grid”. Scope included full upgrade of main panel, install of life safety elements and energy efficient improvements.3) Project Superintendent for a 16,000 sq’ TI/Build-out of an investment banking center for a major bank in Westlake Village. Working on the third floor project in an occupied building for a challenging owner & architect we successfully established the up-scale design required.

Included duties; planning, construction, commissioning for the Building, high end finishes interior & exterior, MEP – telecom – A/V – security systems, Site Work including preparation, u/g utilities, landscape, hardscape, vehicular drives, surface parking, security barriers, fencing and gates. The building houses Courtroom and related spaces, Court Administration & Clerk’s offices, Law library, Judicial Chambers & support spaces, Attorney - Judicial Assistant – Mediation & Conference Spaces as well as CHP & Security Spaces and Locker areas. Building originally designed as LEED Silver but not applied. I was company field safety representative who along with cooperation of all sub-contractors qualified the project for OSHA SHARPS Certification. I coordinated the CQC plan with the onsite inspector & was responsible for implementing and updating the site SWPPP. I also assisted in preparation of proposals and did marketing research at Heery’s corp. office.

Bldg. -Site Enhancement project for a major utility company (The masonry/steel building achieved LEED Gold Certification); the Los Lomas Regional Sports Park (17+acres) w/ a 6,000 sq ft Community Center in the City of Irvine; a computer Disaster Recovery Ctr for HP in (Anaheim), Parks and Monuments for Irvine Dev. Co. (6 in all); the full renovation of the MCAS Miramar’s main Fire Station and a ground-up Libby Lake Community Center building/site development (50,000 sq ft). Other duties I performed outside of field supervision / coordination of construction activities included conducting value engineering, constructability reviews & schedule development on upcoming projects. Team collaboration on pre-bid estimating & design build estimates for proposed projects including a level-3 Navy bio-hazard lab.
