During my career I have been the supervisor over varied departments, including as a field supervisor in patrol, the training sergeant at the academy, drug task force supervisor, traffic unit supervisor, where I oversaw the investigation of any major traffic accident resulting in serious bodily injury or death, and am currently in Special Operations as a narcotics supervisor. My responsibilities have included being responsible for on scene command for dynamic incidents, recruiting, hiring and training incoming peace officers, and leading complex investigations into drug trafficking organizations involving numerous suspects, locations, and levels of involvement. Over my time with the Lubbock Police Department, I have developed specific skills in management and team building that have allowed me to be successful at these assignments.

Began as a dishwasher at the council summer camp. Last two years I was the camp program director. My responsibilities in that position included hiring area directors, planning a budget, and evaluating staff. I was responsible for the overall activity of a fifty person staff as we delivered top quality scouting services to campers. Left this position upon graduating college.
