To support and implement strategies that are aligned with the Material Science Segment of RCNA, ,and lead to sales growth and profit within this segment. This position will works primarily with the Metalworking and Lubricants Segment, as well as other segments that are deemed necessary, and be involved in helping to drive,maintain and close on new business, assist with the development and maintenance of sales content such as industry specific line cards and brochures, coordinate industry trade show activities, supplier training webinars, and provide an overall strong partnership with both supply-side and sales-side company functions. This role is closely aligned with select management directed activities of several chemical channels, and requires a dedicated and proactive individual who can partner with and execute marketing and sales activities that help drive the day-to-day and future business needs of of the business.

Troubleshoot existing products when customer or production issues are found. Plant liaison in charge of working with the blending team to develop production instructions that best utilize plant capabilities and understand plant limitations. Involved in production improvement planning and the purchase of new equipment to increase production output. Meeting with suppliers to develop relationships to find and approve new and replacement raw materials for cost reductions, improved performance, or improved logistics. Develop new products to meet marketing or specific customer needs. Adjusting existing products to reduce cost, improve production without impacting performance. Evaluate and update product properties to provide data for marketing materials on product data sheets and review product data sheets for accuracy with marketing and sales team. Perform and develop laboratory tests to determine product functionality for development and troubleshooting purposes. Design experiments to test product functionality and recreate customer issues for troubleshooting in lab. Work with customers to build test rigs to replicate their application in the lab so that there production schedule is not impacted. Work with manufacturing facilitates to test products in an industrial setting and laboratory equipment to determine real world functionality. Blend small batches of product for customer testing and approval. Write reports summarizing testing and conclusions for customers troubleshooting issues. Enter and edit formulas, raw materials, and blending instructions in the ERP system. Revise and create SOPs for laboratory purposes. Work with the sales team in a customer facing role to help understand customer issues and desires for current and new products, using my manufacturing and educational background. Review and keep our API and NSF registrations up to date and deal with any issues that can arise.

I started with this company in high school and worked there through out college. I was a jack of all trades employee and would run CNC equipment with the assistance of a CNC programmer, repair equipment, deliver parts, and generally fill any role that was needed of me. I currently still use this experience in my current role to understand customer needs on the manufacturing side of production.

Bachelor'S Degree, Biology/Chemist

Studied Biology and Chemistry with a focus on Mircobiology.
