Assistant to the project manager, Thomas Bullock, and superintendent, Darby Mullen, my job consists of aiding in submittal reviews, documentation of the site for owners reports, typing up the weekly sub-meeting and schedules and overseeing the labor crews for hot-item progress.At various points during the project, the super-intendent and project manager have used my skills with drafting to send assembly proposals back to the architect when issues came up in construction of specific details. The super-intendent would sketch out the rough idea of assembly on a paper and I would use Auto-CAD to finalize it and label the components of the detail. This experience has also taught me about the mistakes in construction, particularly around the importance of communication between the contractor, owner and the architect. It has been an invaluable experience.I was drawn to construction because of a lack of understanding in the designs I drew up in my early years at school. I became driven to understand the assemblage of my buildings as intently as the conceptual design of them. I took several classes on construction detailing, volunteered for habitat for humanity and worked as a carpenters assistant for several summers in the interest of becoming more familiar with buildings and construction.

Worked with Professor Spaw in the Digital Fabrication course, during the fall semester of 2013. The course focused around the renovation of a 1950's Airstream trailer, giving the students a blank slate to work with and develop a design concept with. Students first used rhino and the grasshopper plugin to present their conceptual designs before producing and installing them in the Airstream itself.
