Chief Operating Officer for Global Research and Investments - the provision of all research and investments services as well as banking and credit to clients of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. This was a global role across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Responsibilities included all financial control, compliance with regulatory requirements, definition of product suite and investment performance.In addition, Chief Operating Officer for the Barclays Wealth in the Americas business - the Wealth management business acquired by Barclays during the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy. This role included stabilising the Investment Representative teams post bankruptcy and refocussing the business as part of the Barclays global network.

Chief Operating Officer for Global Financial Markets at ABN Amro. This business comprised all the trading businesses (excluding equities) of ABN Amro with over 2000 people active in 20 countries. The range of trading businesses included interest rates, credit, FX, exotics and emerging markets.Responsibilities included oversight of all middle office activities, technology spend, financial reporting and operational control. prior to leaving for Barclays there was also significant involvement with the Royal Bank of Scotland merger.Before coming to London the previous role occupied was as Chief Operating Officer of the Investment bank businesses across North and South America. During this tenure there, as well as regular business activities, there was a significant focus on working through historical money laundering issues with all the US regulators.
