About Robert Williamson
Over 12 years experience in Environmental Science and Hydrological Modelling. Wide experience working on small to large, pan-european, research projects, and teaching Environmental Science and Hydrological modelling to undergrad and postgrad students. Now working for a River Restoration consultancy on projects across the UK.I am a big advocate of using the R programming language to achieve tasks. Highly proficient in HEC-RAS and tuflow modelling packages, creating detailed 2d Hydrological models for river restoration and NFM studies. Skilled in rainfall-runoff and catchment modelling with experience with HEC-HMS, TOPMODEL and Dynamic TOPMODEL. In depth knowledge and experience in creating Detailed Design drawings and digital elevation models for river restoration designs. Proficient in ArcGIS and QGIS as well as autocad Civil3D. Volunteering for the Alpine Glacier Project to ensure the longevity of the longest time-series of Alpine meltwater data.
