Serve as the Director of Academic Advising and Orientation for approximately 1600+ undergraduates and 6+ advisors in the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Virginia Tech. Develop training & professional development opportunities for academic advisors in the college and the university community, delivering lectures and teaching first year experience courses and career development workshops and modules, coordinate new student orientation for the college, provide transitional advising to students in the college, develop resources for faculty, students, and advisors in the college utlizing the latest industry trends and technologies. Responsible for implementing student success intervention strategies and utilizing data analysis to make informed decisions and the recruitment of all incoming students to the college.
