Manages large, complex, and high-priority projects within the Office of Standards and Rulemaking of the Office of Pipeline Safety. Office lead on the EFV, RIN-1, RIN-2, Rupture-Mitigation Valves, Hazardous Liquid, Class Location Change, and Gas Distribution rules. Highly involved in rulemakings involving Leak Detection and Repair, Carbon Dioxide, Idle Pipelines, and Cost Recovery for LNG.Broad knowledge of the activity portfolio of the Office of Standards and Rulemaking, including rulemakings, Technical Pipeline Advisory committee meetings, interpretations, petitions for rulemaking, Federal Register publications, and correspondence.Adopts and executes strategies to navigate fluid work situations where shifts in priorities, assignments, and deadlines occur frequently due to delays, unexpected events, and the political winds. Briefs a variety of audiences on pipeline safety issues and issues regarding rulemaking by providing general or technical information as appropriate. Audiences have included congressional staff; OMB/OIRA/CEQ staff; members of INGAA, AGA, and API; members of NAPSR; and the Pipeline Safety Trust.
