Performed electrical engineering (EE) review for NEC compliance while working for the authority having jurisdiction of design/build (D/B) military construction projects on Redstone Arsenal (RA). From 2007 to 2016 the major D/B project was the $114 million Headquarters, US Army Materiel Command (AMC), a 440,000 square foot structure. Partnered with user to develop an acceptable communication system for AMC. Negotiated $1.2 million communications modification . Other smaller projects: prepared updated electrical designs, scope of work for a new child care center and a secure training facility for the FBI; witnessed acceptance testing on electrical systems installation at the Mission Support Facility at Columbus AFB including fire alarm system testing, elevator testing, primary switchgear, secondary switchgear and generator field tests; and provided EE inspections for multi million dollar in new facilities at the FBI campus on Redstone Arsenal. Monitored contractor’s electrical quality control for the above projects using skills for code and specification compliance for all projects. Performed on-site inspections during the erection phase of all projects above. Project Engineer providing engineering construction management/chief engineering inspection for construction of $16 million new substation, 10 MW generators and exterior distribution extension to the AMC Headquarters. Performed construction quality assurance for military construction projects as electrical engineer for above projects.  Prepared electrical plans using MicroStation, prepared specifications and provided engineering inspection for many miles of overhead and underground exterior communication lines both copper and fiber optic cables along with all necessary support equipment for termination of lines from central communications hubs on RA to new project sites. Interpreted plans and specifications with skills to resolve complex electrical problems encountered during construction. Prepared engineering reports to provide extensive documentation of inspections, process submittals and construction contract changes.  Extensive experience preparing independent cost estimates for construction modifications and assisted in negotiating change orders. Ensured building code compliance for all projects assigned by engineer supervisor. Provided EE inspections for two new NASA multi-storied buildings plus a new multi storied test stand at the Marshall Space Flight Center.
