Worked with the building services team at Cundall, Johnston and Partners Melbourne for 9 months. This job gave me direct exposure to the Northern Territory Secure Facilities (NTSF) PPP Project, a $495 million prison being constructed with 800 beds accommodation, prisoner support facilities, industry buildings and external services. My main roles included:• Small and large scale HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) calculations, including use of the commercial software package CAMEL.• Using commercial software AutoCAD to construct and modify design drawings of HVAC systems, as well as fundamental design work in their layout.• Collaboration with the architect and other external services to integrate the HVAC design with other building services. • Equipment selection and Standards referencing for specialised areas within the prison.
