Highly adaptable and capable delivery centric IT professional with over 25 years experience and expertise gained on an adventure from fast tracked graduate developer to consultant. Cultural competency and emotional intelligence have served me well to ensure I naturally engage people from a position of inclusivity. At present my primary focus is coaching and mentoring. Currently this pertains to agile teams and agile transformation to create high performance through psychological and physiological safety as a strong advocate of the agile ways of working and somatic embodiment. My new realisation is that Agile coaching tools and techniques only, as well as most psychology mind driven approaches to coaching, only go so far, but somatic approaches takes us the rest of the way.Going forward my work will include the use of somatic techniques, as a somatic coach, building on my agile coaching skills to serve clients as a transformation coach.My leadership, coaching and mentoring skills and unique approach to team dynamics empowers teams to deliver in sensitive cross-cultural and cross-functional environments whether onshore, offshore or distributed. My strategic thinking enables me to quickly cut through complexity and problems to find feasible solutions that align to the commercial objectives of stakeholders. My work experience in both the private and public sector encompasses all aspects of waterfall and agile full project life cycle, such as coding, leading teams, project and programme management, vendor management, budget management, IT governance, application design, testing strategies and research, predominantly in the finance sector with stints in the public service and retail sector.Throughout my career I have gained a reputation for successfully creating high performance teams or significantly improving struggling teams, often in the act of rescuing and delivering failing projects. With a background of being an entertainer I bring a harmonious and joyous atmosphere to wherever I work.
