Much of the work involved analysis of current product line into blocks of business logic to be migrated into more generic services.Upgrade a proprietary proxy service to interface with a new version of a third-party product called HealthLanguage, as the old version was no longer being supported. Directed an offshore team to do the actual work.Involved with software from new company Allscripts to migrate selected data from 3 individual databases into one common database. Responsible for service to act as driver across the individual processing pieces.Incorporate Quartz Scheduler into legacy application to execute jobs on a schedule. Developed proof-of-concept for Quartz library api’s.Analysis of large legacy PowerBuilder code base. Identify blocks of business logic to migrate into SOA layers.Design and develop a multi-threaded win-service to analyze a high volume of database queries. This involved the capture and parsing of all query traffic against a patient database with the goal of identifying all access to personal healthcare information (PHI), and whether that access violated privacy restrictions.Complete redesign and rewrite of large healthcare Form Routing framework. Involved single win-service to monitor and manage multiple Routing executables, which were responsible for processing and routing healthcare forms to various destinations, including printer, fax and a separate document service. The redesign replaced Word automation with a third party library called Aspose. The final product included a configurable diagnostic framework along with a proprietary utility to view, filter and search diagnostic messages.
