I designed the pages for The Daily Sentinel newspaper — including the front page — using Adobe InDesign, edited copy using AP Style knowledge, helped manage social media, wrote myriad types of stories for the newspaper and quarterly magazine, took photos, and edited and filmed videos. I dabbled in nearly every facet one can possibly do for an online video games news website. I wrote news articles, opinion pieces on various topics in the industry, covered live events such as E3 both on the show floor and via streaming, wrote fun and serious feature pieces, co-managed social media content, and reviews. On the video side, I wrote, edited, and filmed reviews and unboxing videos.Note: Content I've written is for some strange reason divided up on two different sites, analogaddiction.org and jamiex66.com. My name no longer appears as the author on any written pieces, but I can assure you everything I wrote and created for four years is still there.

I sold and assisted customers in what was essentially the software department. I was tasked with selling items such as computer software, video game software and hardware, movies, music, and more.

As leader of the Stephen F. Austin State University newspaper, The Pine Log, I led dozens of students to produce the weekly newspaper. My duties included designing the front page of the newspaper, writing stories, managing multiple social media accounts, editing copy in all stories before publication, coming up with story and content ideas with and for the staff, assisting fellow media majors in their writing, and more.

Using a sharp eye and giddiness for catching errors, I was tasked with editing every article – whether it was for the newspaper or published online – for clear and accurate reporting. When necessary, I revamped written content with my knowledge on AP Style. While I was Copy Editor, I simultaneously held my position as the Entertainment Editor, and even got up in early-morning hours to deliver the newspapers throughout the campus the following day.

I felt it was my duty to inform the good people of Stephen F. Austin State University not only about art-centric events around campus, but video games as well. My tasks included using Adobe InDesign to design the entertainment page for the newspaper, writing stories about art-related happenings, editing entertainment articles using AP Style knowledge, assigning stories to writers, and more.

If Stephen F. Austin students ever had any curiosities about video games, I was the Lumberjack they would "axe" questions. My articles focused on news for video games, as well as reviews.

At Worlds Factory, an entertainment website focusing on video games, movies, television, and books, I was primarily charged with finding and writing about the latest news in video games, as well as reviews, but I also wrote news about television and movies when needed. The site has since been disbanded.
