A boss of mine once likened me to a Swiss Army Knife - he could basically throw me at any problem and trust I could come up with effective solutions. It was a great way to describe my skill set.My career to date has been extraordinarily varied, providing me experience in basic soldiering, radio communications, aviation theory and practice, heavy road transport, strategic movements planning, maritime and amphibious operations, facilities and estate management, major event delivery, local government, and Defence Industry business.The chief skills I've developed across these multiple disciplines are:- my ability to think strategically; appreciating the greater picture - effective communication for a multitude of audiences- effective, integrated planning for complex activities- leadership of diverse teams in the delivery of concerted outcomesOther skills and qualifications that I bring to the table include government procurement, contract management, stakeholder engagement, land use planning, and creative thinking.
