This work included developing a discussion guide, data collection protocol, facilitating the focus groups, analyzing the data in Nvivo with a thematic analysis, drafting a report, and presenting our findings to C-suite executives.• Serving as a task lead on complex project to conduct environmental scans and policy analyses for the US Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) Advancing Health Equity Policy Analysis Support (AHEPAS) contract. This includes writing a summary report detailing the overall trends for all US states, islands, and territories health strategic plans through an equity lens. • Designed an equity policy research framework for evaluating policy and performing policy analyses on pertinent policies to HHS OMH. This work has resulted in 8 equity-specific policy analyses and presented a training to 60 participants on using a modified version of the CDC Policy Analysis Framework. • Developing a Community of Practice with key state-level stakeholders, OMH, Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), and National Association of State Offices of Minority Health (NASOMH) to advance health-equity based policy best practices across state, island, and territory health departments. • Supporting business development efforts including monitoring public resources for business opportunities (GSA eBuy) and responding to market research, requests for information (RFI), and requests for Proposal (RFP). This work has led to winning 3 projects with Federal and private clients.

The database aids the production of monthly dashboards, pre-populated presentation slides, and talking points for clients to present to VHA leadership and Congressional members. • Conducted a retrospective evaluation of HRSA’s Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) through a mixed-method approach of synthesizing key stakeholder interviews, focus groups, literature reviews, bibliometrics, legislative analysis, grant analysis, and performance measure data to understand the impact of their activities. • Facilitated VHA Diffusion of Excellence events for dissemination and replication of promising best practices to new VA Medical Centers. • Aided CMS’s implementation of the price transparency rule with policy research, development, and management including the development of a monitoring and enforcement strategy and strategic communications to explain the requirements of the law to various stakeholders.
