Organize and lead consultant geologists on all mine planning activities for six operating locations in Southwest Virginia. Hold Blast Optimization Team (BOT) meetings with sub contract drillers and blasters to ensure performance and safety goals are met for all Virginia locations. Control preventative maintenance and work order program for all locations containing stationary crushing/screening equipment in Virginia. Work with portable crushing/screening equipment dealers to ensure our needs are met (rental and purchase options). Establish production/inventory goals for two locations to best inner twine with sales forecast. Assist site management with crusher and screen configurations needed to meet said goals. Assist all locations with forming scenarios that could better the throughput of crushing plants or yield advantageous product specific inventory volumes. Participate in capital project decisions. Establish overburden removal goals for all locations and work with site management to establish most efficient removal option. Perform all air permit needs required by DEQ on stationary and portable equipment for all sites. Perform permit amendment’s for air permits and site DMME permits.
