•As directed, maintains operational liaison with other District and federal agencies and the private sector. •Maintains constant alert for severe weather conditions•Assists in the preparation and content of written procedures for conducting emergency preparedness operations. •Assists in providing a capability to respond to a variety of natural and man-made emergency disaster situations. •As directed, issues alert notifications to civil and military agencies within the District and alerts and mobilizes elements in response to emergencies. •Maintains logs and chronology of events used by emergency operations personnel. •Utilizes a wide range of communication resources including telefax, teletype, news reporting services, computer based systems, weather information services, telephone, and other governments information and communication systems. •Knowledge of governmental structures and resources. •Knowledge of operational concepts for emergency notification and alert measures. •GSA Fleet Coordinator
