Way back in 2003, I wrote a lullaby based upon a beautiful but little-known Beethoven melody. The lyrics of "Bright-eyed Bird" constitute the text of a children's book which I STILL hope to publish along with a cd of the music. My friend, Lisa Fredenthal-Lee, has produced beautiful illustrations. I've recorded an arrangement of the lullaby scored for voice, piano, cello and clarinet. Recently, I created an iMovie version of the lullaby book that I'll soon publish on Vimeo. It's now 2014. This little bird has been taking a very long time to fledge, but we're getting there. The editor of the children's department of Chronicle Books reviewed the book and was very complimentary but didn't feel it was quite their thing. But I believe in this project. One day Bright-eyed Bird will fly and will be loved I'm sure, by young children and by their parents.

Last clinical work in medicine was for UCSF's Pregnancy Diagnostic Center. I enjoyed working there for 6 months prior to retiring from the practice of medicine.

Retired from: Diagnostic ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, genetic amniocentesis, gynecologic ultrasound. Board certified obstetrician/gynecologist.
