I got hooked on enzymes as an undergrad at Berkeley, learning about the incredibly intricate and ever-vigilant DNA repair machinery, and have never looked back. My first real job was making enzymes for Promega - a great company. A few years later, I joined a group of Promega renegades at PanVera, where we started to make proteins as drug targets, and then HTS assays as well. I started BellBrook Labs with John Majer in 2002. We focus on developing drug discovery tools that overcome significant gaps in existing technology, funding much of the R&D with NIH grants, and commercializing both through direct sales and licensing and distribution partners.Specialties: Enzymology, Post-translational Modifications, HTS Assays, Fluorescence Detection, Microfluidics
