During the COVID-19 pandemic, while I was still studying for my GCSE's, it started to become clear to me that nothing is guaranteed, and anything can happen in one sudden moment. Since then, I have been pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, taking part in events and activities I never thought I would have the courage to do. This is something that I am always doing more of, and it has driven me to the point I am at today.What led me into the social media management profession was my skillset. I had grown up around social media, and had seen it develop first-hand during my lifetime. I never expected to do it as a part-time job, but the more I used it, the better I became. Only recently, I realised that not everyone shared the same understanding of social media that I had. This allowed me to help MMP strengthen their online presence, keeping regular updates on their website, as well as creating or maintaining their social media platforms. I am always searching for ways to generate a greater outreach.Apart from my role as social media manager, I also aspire to be an entrepreneur. I am not afraid of taking calculated risks that may better myself or improve my experience. The idea of making a change in the world for the better, or improving people's lives drives me to become an entrepreneur. Not only that, but the goal of time freedom too, so I can focus on pursuing the things that I love. I am constantly researching new potential businesses and I am trying different methods of business as I believe that experience is the best teacher.I have come to the university of Leicester, after achieving A*AB in my A levels, to study BSc Geology. In this, I am hoping to gain many transferrable skills, as well as meeting new people and finding what I am truly passionate about within the subject. I chose Geology because I not only enjoy the subject, but I see a lot of opportunity to make positive change. We are constantly discovering new things in Geology which is so exciting, and therefore I am very happy to be apart of it.It has become clear to me that I am passionate about helping others, over all else, thus, becoming an entrepreneur for me is a life goal that I will always strive for as it will allow me to achieve my passion, while having the freedom to explore many of the amazing opportunities out there, in any industries.
