Responsibilities include: monthly financial statement preparation and invoicing for program delivery; review and recommendation of payment of provincial invoicing claims; preparation of various reconciliations, identifying variances and causes; posting journal entries using SAP software; coordination of closing entries and reports for year-end purposes; providing payment confirmations to external auditors; assisting with report preparation and data collection for internal auditors; report preparation using COGNOS and Excel to identify problematic accounts and participants in our selected programs; preparation of payment runs; communication with financial institutions; coordination of transit mergers for our in-house software; training new employees; mailing, filing, faxing of sensitive documentation; assisting in calculating interest and penalties outstanding on defaulted payments. Experience as acting manager in cases where manger is absent.
