Leads CWS Africa's physical security, Critical Incident management impacting CWS Africa's safety and security, mitigating threats impacting staff and the agency's program activities across Africa, taking the lead in upholding the duty of care and enhancing a culture of security in partnership with CWS HQ security leadership in the U.S.I'm responsible for the agency's security clearance program, regional security training, effective risk management strategies, setting up security framework in all new areas of operation across the region, and undertaking counter-threat safety and security vetting programs operating across the region. I serve as a member of the Leadership team, a member of INSSA (Certified security risk management professional), a member of the OSAC country chapter, a member of the Regional Safety and Security Advisors committee, chairs the CWS Security Risk Management group (comprising of security managers, analysts and specialist across the region), member of Critical Incident Management Team (CIMT) and champion of community policing. Consistently maintain good working relationships with various host country Governments, law enforcement agencies, UN Agencies, Diplomatic missions, and International Non-Governmental security focal points at different levels including Embassies. Previously worked with the Kenya Institute of Security and Criminal Justice as a security trainer. Certified Trainer of Trainees, and trained with various agencies across the globe. I have undertaken specialized training in forensics and criminal investigations, fingerprint science, and post-graduate studies in Crisis management, senior resilience, and risk leadership with RSM University. Posses 15 years of experience in safety and Security Management.
