Serves as a Test and Evaluation Officer in the Fires Test Directorate, U.S. Army operational Test command (USAOTC). Responsible for Test and Evaluation of developing Army systems relating directly to the management of their cost, schedule and performance. Provides input to system Test and Evaluation Master Plans, System Evaluation Plans, and System Evaluation Reports. Prepares, coordinates, and obtains approval of test design plans and test reports to support material acquisition decisions at DA and DoD levels. Maintains liaison with combat, training and material developers, operational evaluators and DA/DoD agencies. Serves as the Commander of a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Battery within a Field Artillery Brigade. Maintains rapid deployment capability in support of XVIII Airborne Corps and Special Operations Forces for no-notice, world-wide contingency operations. Responsible for the training, safety, discipline, readiness, and welfare of 93 Soldiers and their Families. Maintains eight HIMARS Launchersand associated vehicles and equipment valued at over $50 million in a high state of operational readiness. Responsible for the efficient management of all resources to include material and assigned personnel. Ensures the battery is ready to deploy, fight, and win anywhere in the world.

Executive Officer for a 120 Soldier M777A2 Firing Battery within a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, consisting of two firing platoons, a fire support element, and a headquarters element. Responsible for mantaining six M777A2 howitzers, three Stryker Fire Support Vehicles, and twenty-five assorted pieces of rolling stock; coordinating with Battalion elements and the Forward Support Company to resource field feeding, fueling, and other classes of resupply throughout unit Field Training Exercises. Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations, such as administration, maintenance, and logistics freeing the commander to concentrate on tactical/operational planning and execution of operations.

The assistant FSO interfaces with the BN CDR, XO, S3, and the intelligence officer and provides information on the targeting process, employment, capabilities, and limitations of all friendly and enemy fire support systems. Troop Fire Support Officer for a 92 soldier Cavalry Troop of the 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment as part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Armored Division. Serves as the full-time fire support advisor to the Troop commander, as well as the Troop fires planner, and coordinator. Advises the commander on the capabilities, limitations, and employment of all fire support assets available to support his operation. These assets may include the Stryker Fire Support Vehicle, the laser target designators, and the fire support weapon systems. Employs all means of fire support and integrates fire support assets into the Troop Commander's scheme of maneuver. Accountable for the stewardship of 1 Fire Support Vehicle and other Fire Support equipment valued in excess of $4 million.
