I’ve acquired a dynamic skill set, which includes essential hands-on, fast paced, multipurpose capabilities while working quality control in a food-processing laboratory. I learned to appreciate the importance of a safe workplace environment and good manufacturing practices. My experience also involves working in a more medical related environment in a nursing assisted living facility. There, I was exposed to more clinical and health related terminology and procedures. I also strengthened my interpersonal skills while working with doctors, nurses, patients and their families and insurance companies. My entire undergraduate and graduate education and work experience has provided me with the appropriate tools and knowledge for a career in Microbiology and related health science services. What made me pursue a Master’s in Microbiology was my curiosity for the microscopic world and all the benefits it holds for mankind. Being a student in this program and working as a graduate assistant has suited me with a very unique set of skills such as working with electron microscopes, tissue sectioning, aseptic techniques and the list goes on. I am very driven and confident in applying myself in the workplace. I consistently strive for excellence and am committed to exceeding goals and expectations.
