Project Manager / Subject Matter ExpertSustainable Criminal Justice Solutions (Scjs) Dec 2014 - Jun 2019Southampton, England, United KingdomThis role allowed me to develop and deliver the following rule of law projects to completion:• Crime Scene Investigation Capability Building for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF): Improved level of awareness through development and delivery of a series of in-country training courses on Crime Scene Investigation, Crime Scene Investigation, and Forensic Awareness for Managers and Train the Trainer (CSI).• Led 4 year EU Funded project on Counter Terrorism intelligence, investigation and judicial cooperation across Horn of Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia).• Crime Scene Investigation Capability Building for the Turkish Coast Guard: Implemented Crime Scene Investigation into the working processes of the Turkish Coast Guard following their elevation by the Turkish Government to be an official Law Enforcement Agency of Turkey through design, development, and delivery of a 6 month programme of institutional development.• Designed and delivered an investigative interview training programme for the Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM), Jamaica, providing the cutting edge interview techniques for personnel conducting investigations into suspected extra judicial murders in liaison with Portsmouth University.• Liaised with the Criminalistics Department, Georgia to deliver CSI and Court Room Skills training contributing to a programme of work being funded through the British Embassy.• Delivered Train-the-Trainer courses and conducted a review of the Turkish Jandarma Criminal Database, whilst working as an EU Twinning Project Subject Matter Expert.• Led the co-ordinated of programme of training on Investigation and Interviewing Skills for the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Nigeria on behalf of the British High Commission in Lagos.• UK lead for the 2 year, EU funded PRUM DNA project (UIPDE), managing the project through to completion leading to a paper being submitted to and debated by UK parliament. -

Role included leading the Crime Standards Review Team to deliver district reviews capturing and disseminating lessons to be learnt for personal development and organisational learning. As Temporary Head of Department also had responsibility for the management and oversight of the Force Performance Team, Force Crime Registrar and the Quality and Finalisation Team for crime recording. Whilst in this role, developed and led on the creation of a new unit within the Constabulary with the primary aim to ensure that recommendations from review, audit and inspection processes result in real change and continuous improvement in the service that Hampshire Constabulary provides to the communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. -
