The class was broken into four groups of students with approximately twenty in each group. The groups rotated between each design area (Video, Lighting, Scenic, Costume) throughout the semester. Four Teach Assistants where assigned with one specialized in a design area. Each teaching assistant prepared their own curriculum for their own section with approval of the professor. I taught the section on video/projection design and production. As directed, the curriculum was to be as hands on as possible, therefore through the use of system diagrams I would have my classes work in teams. They would analyze these system diagrams and then find the necessary equipment, assemble it, test it and then prove that it met the requested/intended function.Additionally, I would manage teams of students for all load-in and load-outs of all video/projection systems on all productions within the Theatre department. -

We had two venues under our purview, the Hogg Memorial Auditorium and the Union Theatre. I would often be assigned a task/goal to complete within the theatre and would then coordinate that task with the employed students to achieve the goal. The major project at that time was in the Union Theatre. Over the course of the year we completely overhauled the rigging, masking, lighting, video, and sound - as well as repainted the space.Additionally, I would often be assigned to a supervisory role during shows, particularly in the evenings or when both venues had events at the same time.

Lifelong found success over three consecutive Montreal Fringe Festival appearances which included three Frankie award nominations over those years. Using their success they launched a 5 show season at the Mainline Theater and received critical acclaim. The company dissolved when several members pursued new opportunities.
