Continueing on from my previous role as Business Development Manager for Hyne Laminated Timber Projects this new role now encompasses all aspects of the Laminated Timber (Glulam) business that is a focus of the Hyne Timber product range.Providing advise and support on all projects, domestic, commercial and architectural, that will benefit from a wide range of Glulam Products and Fabrication Services.The use of Glulam is clearly a focus in the construction industry and we have had the privelage to be involved in some amazing projects and to be able to work with Architects, Engineers, Building Designers and Builders who have a vision for a sustainable future and can see the benefits of large timber beams in construction.With 35 years in the industry I believe I have the necessary experience to work with all levels of the Timber, Building and Construction industries to achieve results.

In my current role as Business Development Manager for Hyne Glulam Commercial Projects I have worked to increase the exposure of Hyne as market leader in the production of Laminated Timber Products to the Domestic market and to inform industry of our product and fabrication capabilities for the Commercial Markets. I have worked closely with production team to grow our product offer including a broader size range and treatment I have learnt much about the Glulam Timber Business working alongside experienced Hyne Timber staff members who are recognised in our industry as leaders in this field. Building and Managing a team of dedicated estimators and detailers to develop a design service that assisted in the sales growth of the Hyne Engineered Timber Products Range. Providing technical support and design on complex members in both residential and commercial building applications. Assisting with the development of the Hyne Design Software including Hyne EzyDraw.With the support of the senior managers within Hyne I was able to build and developed a team of people and computer based solutions that made the Hyne Design Team stand out in the Engineered Timber Products market. Our team took ownershiop of the sytems implemented and improve our lead time on quotes and we were able to offer service commitments that were met, measured, reported and monitored. The reporting systems created met the key requirements as described by management and allowed a clear and accurate overview of the service provided and success achieved.

I supported the sales team by ensuring the estimates for both frames and trusses were completed in accordance with the building codes and the company's own high standards and on time. I was also responsible for the day to day follow up and reporting of completed jobs assisting in the procurement of orders and that these orders were required and delivered to meet the just in time production schedules and customer requirements.

My responsiblilities included internal sales, joint development of the truss plant, detailing and estimating and when required site visits to meet with customers.
