As the Area Sales Manager for Sea To Summit, Scarpa and Lorpen, I am responsible for the northern area which includes Scotland, Northern England, North Wales and Ireland. To represent these brands, who offer such a fantastic range of industry leading products, is a real pleasure and I'm lucky enough to be at the forefront as they continue to go form strength to strength.

Following the acquisition of Allcord Ltd by 2Pure Ltd in December 2018, I continued to work in the outdoor sector and it helped strengthen our position in the market place. We distributed a wide range of outdoor, climbing and mountaineering products from brands such as CAMP, Tendon, Climb X, So iLL, Cousin and Fizan to name but a few. I joined Allcord in August 2014 and I mainly focused on the technical products within our portfolio. Maintaining strong working relationships with customers and colleagues alike was crucial and I always strived to offer the best service possible.

Being the UK Sales Representative for First Ascent was a demanding but rewarding and enjoyable job. Throughout my time there, I dealt with an array of industry leading products from Black Diamond, Therm-a-rest, MSR, Platypus, and Nalgene. I serviced around 300 accounts and I was also the first point of contact for potential new accounts. I successfully researched and opened many new prospects in our core areas as well as outside of our usual channels. Meeting deadlines and achieving sales goals were key in this demanding role.

Working with the number one Digital Mapping Software Product, ‘Memory Map’, along with an extensive portfolio of other recognized brands, my role as National Accounts Manager, was quite varied. I progressed through the company from Sales Executive, Territory Manager to National Accounts Manager. Working from home, the forward planning of my schedule was essential. My main responsibilities were to oversee the distributors into the Outdoor and Cycle Sectors as well as managing the other Key Accounts. I was also responsible for looking for new prospects and opening accounts in new areas. Another part of my role was attending numerous trade and public shows, where I carried out individual demonstrations and presentations to larger audiences, along with sales. I also carried out a vast amount of Staff Training with Outdoor and Cycle Accounts as well as running sessions for the MLTE and groups of Mountain Guides.

Having worked for George Fisher Ltd for nine years, I was an integral part of an award winning team. From the store opening in 1995, I progressed from Sales Advisor through Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Sales Floor Manager to ultimately General Manager. To maintain a loyal, well motivated team, who could offer the highest level of customer service, training and development was a priority. One of the ways this was achieved was through delivering a sales awareness workshop. Health and safety, security and recruitment and selection were also key parts of my role. With numerous qualifications gained and training courses attended, George Fisher gave me an excellent grounding in retail sales.
