Hired to take over support of the IT Infrastructure with five global sites. Due to a reduction in force and limited IT staffing any type of maintenance and security updates had been stopped. Reviewed the environment and found over 30 servers and five firewalls had not been patched in over a year. Further review found over 400 infrastructure service tickets. Partnered with department managers to determine high priority issues that were limiting productivity then developed a plan and started the process of updating and securing the infrastructure and implemented a regular update schedule. ● Managed the IT Infrastructure buildout at Nixon’s HQ (firewall, routing, switching, wireless networking dedicated Internets and private Metro E connection, cabling and security). Participated with developing the budget which was presented to major stakeholders. Met with stakeholders and performed a needs assessment and used that information to plan the infrastructure. Sourced several vendors to quote, procure and install equipment. Managed change requests to ensure they were within scope, approved and completed. Project was completed on time and within budget. ● Reduced cell phone expenditures by about $700/month by eliminating phone lines of former employees. ● Managed the implementation of a second SAN that took Nixon on-prem storage from 45TB to 75TB and eliminated the storage space issues Nixon was experiencing. Worked with the Dell to develop the implementation plan and coordinated the efforts of Nixon and Dell staff. Storage was integrated and brought online with no interruption of service of live environment. ● Engaged with Nixon stakeholders to review IT planning to ensure technology implementations would meet current and future needs.

Salient NetworkHired to take over management and support of the Cisco UCS environment at Opus Bank (Merged with Pacific Premier Bank) at Corporate Office and 46 branch offices. Supported multiple cube routers, several Call Managers servers, Unity, and IM&P servers. Ensure servers are backed up, review event notifications to verify phone systems were running as expected and addressed issues as needed. Elevates issues to Cisco or Sr Engineers if assistance was needed. ● Provide daily phone system support (onsite and remotely) to Opus Bank end users; reviewing, addressing and closing assigned tickets in ConnectWise and TrackIt. ● Work with Pacific Premier Bank (PBB) voice team to plan the transition of users from Opus Bank UCS to PBB UCS. ● Engage with Opus management and end users to advise on phone system issues and resolutions. ● Engage with other Salient clients to provide UCS support as needed. Brought on board to take over management of a security initiative at Celgene encompassing installation of redundant firewalls to improve security for the biotech company’s lab equipment and systems valued at ~$250M across 7 sites. Designed project plan for firewall installation and Windows (7 and 10) and lab equipment migration. Interviewed lab managers and personnel to determine network resources, access applications and define data utilization. Developed and managed project scope and led a team of 10 in Europe and the US to implement networking and application changes for testing. Created project documentation, such as knowledge bases, system assessment forms and inventory management. Managed and tracked change controls to adhere to Celgene’s GMP policies/requirements.* Attained the on-time and within budget Lab Compute Environment (LCE) Security Initiative.
