Robert “Bobby” Mastrangelo is a hardworking, organized, conscientious self-starter, entrepreneur, and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a hands-on approach to building businesses, tackling projects, and accomplishing goals. He has worked with Top Tier 1 OEM companies in diverse industries. As a Quality and Process Engineer with Faurecia, Bobby launched new products and learned lean manufacturing principles. At Ford Motor Company, Bobby used his experience to prepare the Wi-Fi packaging and Ground Clearance Engineering Specs that were adopted for the 2017 Lincoln MKC and Ford Escape. As a Quality Engineer at Serta Simmons, he led work teams to increase mattress production and quality performance while reducing costs. As the Plant Engineer at SolarTech Universal, Bobby was responsible for all manufacturing processes for solar panel production and had oversight over line operations/quality control and management of staff. In addition, Bobby has gained valuable business experience working with multiple different businesses in the U.S. and China, including a non-profit, overseeing all accounting and cash management operations and year-end tax accounting preparations. While living in Honduras, Bobby developed an app called Merchant’s Key, which connected brick and mortar stores with clients in a different way, offering special discounts and loyalty programs to the client. When the COVID lockdown happened, it unfortunately shut down operations. Bobby learned how to present and get local businesses to sign up and become part of the app as well as offering discounts and loyalty rewards. Through good business practices, marketing, and word of mouth, Merchant’s Key was able to become a successful app in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This experience from 2018 to 2020 was invaluable going forward.Bobby graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, (Terre Haute, IN), which has been rated as America’s number 1 undergraduate engineering school year after year since 1998. In his role as Omega Power’s Chief Operating Officer, Bobby has managed all corporate operations, information technology and marketing and promotional campaigns. His experience in the auto industry has enabled him to lead the Customer Acquisition Program and help to build the strategic partnerships with OEMs in the EV, drone, aerospace, and consumer electronics industries.
