Provides executive assistance to the Director and Deputy G6 on matters having visibility throughout the Command and external agencies. Authors, reviews and edits various correspondence, including information papers, executive summaries, briefings, personnel actions, project plans, contracts, and acquisition packets. Works with other staff organizations to resolve military related operational conflicts, clarify issues and obtain concurrence. Presents and defends management positions, negotiates agreements and options with other government agencies and industry where little precedent exists. Served as the First Sergeant of 267th Signal Company, 1st Sustainment Brigade. Directly responsible for the training readiness, discipline and well-being of five Officers, 15 NCOs, and 47 enlisted Soldiers; spanning 14 Occupational Specialties; trains and develops three Platoon Sergeants in the management of a Signal unit that provides Brigade level communications and support; accountable for over $5,500,000 of equipment. Responsible for the integration, testing and implementation of a new Satellite communications system. Hand selected to integrate personnel from multiple units into a strong and cohesive area defense force with 25% of the authorized training time that was responsible for securing a large scale installation and responding to any emergency. Responsible for the enlisted professional development, physical fitness, discipline and quality of life for all Soldiers; responsible for all administrative and logistical operations in the company. Authored and published command-wide policies; training plans; orders; operations; tactics, techniques and procedures; best business practices and policies. Interpreted guidance, concepts, principles, methodologies and practices from DoD, DA, Division staff, and other commands to leverage within the unit. Represented the command in meetings, conferences and data-calls with, 1st Infantry Division level meetings, and adjacent organizations, often making decisions impacting personnel, allocation of resources, commitment of funds and training time or measures impacting command level personnel, supply, training, or security assets. Serves as the Force Protection NCOIC for the 1st Sustainment Brigade which is forward deployed to the CENTCOM area of operations and OPCON to US Army Central Command (USARCENT); responsible for assisting the command and control of five battalions, six Convoy Support Teams, and over 40 subordinate units; responsible for the force protection coordination with operational environment owners and tactical convoy operations for the 1st Sustainment Brigade; directly responsible for coordinating antiterrorism operations and force protection responses for the brigade's convoys; responsible for the morale, welfare, development, and safety of one Soldier. Selected to plan manage and implement support for the Kuwaiti Independence celebration which involved over 1000 Soldiers and 100 pieces of equipment worth over $8M. Coordinated daily with more than 25 units throughout the USF-I AOR which increased security focuses and had caused the attrition the effectiveness of attacks against sustainment convoys. Responsible for coordination with various stakeholders throughout the country to increase quality of life for hundreds of personnel and increased a security focus by over 300% in security and antiterrorism exercises including a wider variety of realistic threat scenarios. Responsible for the security of over $11M worth of theater bulk fuel sites a critical mission logistics need. Safely redeployed 40 personnel and their equipment from Kuwait to the United States with zero loss of equipment or personnel. Responsible for analysis of requirements, orders, regulations, and laws and determining necessary training, resourcing, and methods to meet all obligations.

Assigned as the Signal Support Systems Chief for a Combat Aviation BDE; responsible for the maintenance, serviceability and deployability of all communications systems within seven battalions consisting of 60 companies; directly responsible for the leadership, supervision, training, morale, welfare and combat readiness of seven enlisted Soldiers; oversees manning, training and maintenance programs of all S6 sections with the brigade; accountability for six vehicles, three trailers with generators, automation and communications systems, maintenance worth over $1.5M. Directly enable the BDE Commander to exercise control over seven battalions scattered throughout the country of Iraq in over 20 separate bases. Coordinated with multiple agencies in order to maximize communications to various remote sites in the United States, and 18 other countries to provide communications to pilots supporting various VIPs. Sought cost saving measures including reducing communications costs by nearly $130K a year. Concurrent with this assignment is the position as the Brigade Communication Security (COMSEC) Custodian for the Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) ensuring proper communication security protocols and standardized procedures and maintained and established within the CAB; receives generates and distributes keying material; performs regular inspections of subordinate unit’s communications security facilities and procedures; principal COMSEC account holder and vault custodian; maintains accountability and serviceability of over $88K worth of key processing and tracking equipment responsible for the health and welfare of 23 Soldiers and their families. Simultaneously supporting multiple exercises and maintaining a 100% mission success rate despite numerous short suspense taskings. Managed to keep his section modernized and capable by coordinating over 2000 hours of schooling, mobile network systems validation exercises for 9 disparate sections with approximately 250 personnel.

Serves as the Detachment Sergeant of the most forward deployed strategic signal battalion in support of United States Forces Korea and Eighth United States Army; responsible for the health, morale, discipline, welfare and professional development of 102 Soldiers and 21 KATUSA Soldiers; responsible for the oversight of 11 Department of the Army Civilians and 31 Korean national employees; supervises daily unit training, administrative actions, and maintenance of barracks and motor pool facilities; responsible for advising the commander on all issues pertaining to enlisted Soldiers and their families and reviews all personnel. Ensured training methodologies were established and personnel were trained to the point where they consistently earned recognition for excellence supporting visits and formal functions for the US and ROK president, and other VIPs. Maximized education opportunities for Soldiers having many finish their Masters Degrees and other completing scores of schools. His sections were commended by senior personnel including the NETCOM Commanding General for supply excellence and saved $140K a year for his visual aids and graphics section. Due to the uptake in his company’s morale retention rates soared to 300% above requirements for initial enlistment Soldiers and 125% above requirements for career term Soldiers.

Operations NCOIC and First Sergeant for a geographically dispersed signal company, assists the Company Commander in all operational areas provides strategic communications and information services to customers over a 36,000 Kilometer area in support of the Combatant Commander and the Eighth US Army, maintains and operates nine strategic telephone switching facilities, three technical control facilities, one microwave relay site and over 50K telephones in area II and III valued at over $385 million. Responsible for the health and welfare and training of 87 military personnel and 66 civilians. Processed over 299 high priority circuit installs to include the USFK Commander and supervised an additional 1500 circuit actions and 300 telephone lines in support of daily operations for Area II. Coordinated and managed over 18 major projects valued at several million dollars. Developed training methodologies that ensured over 40% of unit Soldiers became promotable and the intense realistic training kept all personnel qualified, supervises all training, personnel actions supply and maintenance activities, implements policies and procedures maintains duty rosters and assigned tasks oversees evaluation and award programs. Leadership and technical skills lead to his selection as the First Sergeant over 24 senior personnel. Other training matrixes was developing a Base security force training and MEVA Emergency evacuation and defense plan. Worked to clear up a 15 year backlog of excess materials pending disposal and rectified 30% of old circuit deficiencies were rectified cleaning up a 5 year back log.
