My role involves managing and leading a technical team of GIS and database experts with the objective of delivering digital solutions to centralise data within the Corporate Asset Register to support the asset management and operational activities of NI Water. Myself and my team design, build and deliver process automation solutions, ESRI Web Apps, Oracle APEX Apps, PL/SQL Programs, and reporting solutions (Power BI, Business Objects) to help NIW achieve our corporate objectives.I provide analysis services to interpret asset and performance data in tabular, 2D and 3D spatial contexts. I correlate results and present data in relation to asset information requests using data visualisation tools such as Power BI and ESRI Dashboards.I manage various Asset Information systems at both a technical and administrative level. These include Oracle Spatial, ABB Ellipse, ESRI ArcGIS and FME Server. My role also involves project managing Oracle Database upgrades and serving as the technical lead for NI Water on all development within our Oracle Spatial Data Warehouse As a GIS subject matter expert, I provide a consultancy service on spatial and asset data aspects of IT and digital transformation projects within NIW. I am responsible for developing and maintaining a number of integration interfaces between NIWs Corporate Asset Register and other corporate systems e.g. the Data Warehouse, Laboratory Information System, Customer Services and Oracle Financials.

Land Registry Of Northern Ireland

Working as part of the Case Work Assistance project team based in the Land Registry of Northern Ireland (LRNI) my duties revolved around the processing applications for land conveyancing and initial registration. This process included the accurate digitisation of parcels of land and any associated features in relation to Ordnance Survey background maps via the LRNI GIS platform LandWeb. As well as the drafting of legal documentation relating to the land ownership, rights, easements and use constraints.I also on occasion worked on a number of alternative projects within LRNI. I was a member of a map reconstruction team responsible for reconstructing land registry data to adhere to revisions in the digital Ordnance Survey maps. I also worked on a pilot project relating to digital map correction and positional improvement (PI)

Land Registry Of Northern Ireland

Working as part of a Data Quality Assurance team on a digital transformation project for the Land Registry of Northern Ireland (LRNI) I was responsible for the quality assurance of data captured from land registration maps.This included the verification and validation of both raster and vector data relating to land parcels and easements captured from the LRNI's extensive paper map catalogue. Working to a strict rule base my job was to compare sample checks of the newly digitised data with the original maps and make a decision as to whether or not it was of an acceptable quality taking into account the shape and measurement of the objects and their position on the map in relation to Ordnance Survey features.In addition to this my duties also included coordinating with the outsourced service provider in Malaysia to ensure submissions of digitised data was received promptly and uploaded to the central database, ensuring a constant flow of data was available to be checked by the QA team.
