Act as Shell Group's key subject matter expert on aviation fuels, responsible for maintaining, implementing and managing the Shell Group Quality System for aviationfuels, spanning from refinery to wingtip, including incorporation of SAF.Lead a team of regional product quality experts who manage aviation fuel PQ across the whole supplychain and manage aviation product quality compliance inspections. I lead specialist teams covering Global Inspection and Compliance; Aviation Fueling Engineering and Operational Training functions with responsibility management, maintenance and optimization of standards, manuals, operational and training content within these respective disciplines. Within these disciplines I am pioneering the digitization of operations, including influencing ways that industry standards might flex to allow data-derived efficiencies to be enjoyed. As well managing carbon footprint through supporting production and deployment of SAF, I am also pioneering battery electric vehicles to transport bulk hydrocarbon fuels.As access to knowledge is more of a challenge than a deficiency in the volume of information available in our industry, I am driving deployment of Artificial Intelligence to facilitate natural language processes to access knowledge from multiple data sources, aiding engineering, operations, product quality and operations.I act as part of the core management team for Shell Aviation HSSE, Operations and Technical Team developing and delivering corporate strategy and facilitating Shell Aviation's decarbonization journey.Active member of industry groups including ASTM, UK Ministry of Defence Executive Committee,Energy Institute, Coordinating Research Council, Joint Inspection Group (JIG) and IATA.From 2014 to 2020 I managed a team of technical consultants who provided technical services to third party companies involved with aviation fuel.

The Coordinating Research Council (CRC) is a non-profit organization that directs, through committee action, engineering and environmental studies on the interaction between aviation equipment and petroleum products. The formal objective of CRC is to encourage and promote the sciences by directing scientific cooperative research to develop the best possible combinations of fuels, lubricants, and the equipment in which they are used, and to afford a means of cooperation with industry, specification bodies and Government on matters of national or international interest within this field.

Panel responsible for managing the ASTM Jet fuel specification content changes.

Chair of body overseeing the work of the EI Aviation Subcommittee work, which includes industry standards and guidance for the use and approval of aviation filtration, fuelling equipment, fixed facilities, electronic sensors and aviation fuel supply chain standards (EI/JIG 1530)

Responsible for individual aircraft base maintenance inputs working on ATP and BAe 146 and RJ series aircraft. This role involved being responsible for man management of the direct inspection and repair work on the aircraft up to D check and Major Structural inspections and modifications. Led a team of licenced supervisors to maintain the aircraft inputs on time and on budget. Responsible for liaison with maintenance planning, engineering, repair design office and logistics to ensure both scheduled maintenance and remediation is completed as planned within time and budget.Responsible for negotiating cost and scope of remedial work with the aircraft operator.

Responsible for managing the planning, provisioning, kitting and work instructions for aircraft component build, overhaul and repair for the shop. Primary customer liaison engineer and order management for British Aerospace (75% of the order book). Responsible for development of the management information system, and associated relation database including primary programming in Unix and Informix.

Light aircraft design work on FLS Sprint and FLS Optica as well as some work on 3rd party designs (e.g. ARV Super 2 to develop to production standard)Liaison engineer with British Aerospace to ensure capability to carry out repair and overhaul of military aircraft components.
