At the United Christian Church Home (a Continuing Care Retirement Community) in Annville, Pennsylvania, I worked as the Director of Environmental Services and Facilities under the management division of the ServiceMaster Company, Inc. Managed five departments – the food service, grounds, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance - which improved the overall care and quality of service to the residents and provided a well-trained staff for the facility Planned, wrote and maintained budgets, FTEs, etc Reduced costs by approximately 30% and implemented a systematized menu selection system in the food service unit which resulted in a better selection and preparation of food Organized a limited amount of equipment (heating and cooling units, etc.) under a computerizedcasualty, corrective and preventive maintenance work order system which ensured their properfunctioning and safe usage

As part of one of the ServiceMaster Residential and Commercial Services in Saint Paul, Minnesota, I worked first as a trainee and them in a supervisory position in the field.• Led a staff of four to eight individuals (depending on the size and needs of the job) and demonstrated the ability to organize and supervise a team effort on the various work sites• Trained/certified in all the areas of fire and water restoration, carpet and floor care, and furniture/drapery cleaning, etc., and cleaned/maintained large commercial sites(commercial building and offices, malls, multistory high-rise buildings, etc.) which provided a background and expertise for any type of maintenance needs which the business would encounter• Involved in the cleanup of many unique emergency situations (suicides, tear gas removal, sewage backup evacuation and cleaning, etc.) and thereby expanded the areas of capability and profitability for the company• Estimated the costs and involved in the sales portion of the business at both commercial and residential sites

During this time I was working part-time and attending school where I earned my Masters of Divinity.
