I'm an attorney at Landesa, a nonprofit organization that champions and works to secure land rights for the world's poorest women and men to provide opportunity and promote social justice.I believe women and men in the poorest areas of the poorest countries will have better life prospects if they control the land they reside on and cultivate. My work involves helping to shepherd adoption of progressive land laws, motivating officials to care how rules affect people, and engaging women and men to obtain rights to the land they use. We focus on systemic change that operates at scale.In addition to providing land tenure expertise to various Landesa project teams, I oversee internal processes to ensure that all Landesa projects are well designed and well managed, advance our mission and values, and are premised upon a practical and pragmatic theory of change.
