Master Sergeant Robert Mitchell Was the Production Superintendent for the 127th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Harrison Township, Michigan. MSgt Mitchell from Algonac, Michigan, enlisted in the Michigan Army National Guard in March 1987. Upon completion of his technical training course he was assigned to the 1/225 CSC section where he began his Military career as a T.O.W 2 gunner. In 1992 He changed his career path to the Michigan Air National Guard Due to military downsizing. Here he was assigned to the 127th Armament section. Throughout his career he has continually progressed through positions reaching his current position of an A-10 Production Superintendent, primarily responsible for scheduling maintenance operations, report status of aircraft to group commander, coordinate maintenance actions with shop supervisors of 21 combat ready A-10 Thunderbolts. MSgt Mitchell has been deployed countless times in support of Operations Northern Watch, Noble Eagle, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.
