I am currently a Powder Coating Leader in a busy manufacturing company. I am responsible for 2 small shifts organising production runs and ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to, and order any PPE that is required on the powder coating department. I also carry out six month and 12 month appraisals.As part of my job I carry out back to work interviews and take part in investigations. I also ensure that the pre-treatment wash is running correctly by carrying out weekly chemical tests, also ordering chemicals and powder.I am also involved in the quality side of production, processing NCR's when they are raised internally, which involves uploading photos and all the information of the NCR's and assigning them to the relevant departments and logging them on the quality system. For every job that is created a batch card follows the job right until it reaches the assembly department, and when complete I upload all the batch cards onto the quality system. Also using Syspro I create job numbers on a t card system and then print off all the WIP where it is distributed to the relevant departments.
