Although I am taking a break I still am interested in any opportunity for a project that offers growth both personally and professionally, using the skills and attributes that I have acquired over my career. My skills in the areas highlighted in my "Skills and Endorsements" and my knowledge of how to market curiculum materials with teachers may be of value.....we shall see. I look forward to honing my photographic skills and adding some artistic flair to my photographs.

Canon Robert MorrowAnglican Diocese Of Niagara Nov 2016 - Aug 2020Christ Church CathedralAlthough this is an honourary position, I feel so humbled at being recognized by the Diocese of Niagara for my work over the past twenty-five years. I have always had a guardian angel at the Diocesan office who has found really neat matches between Diocesan needs and what I can bring to a situation. I am truly blessed. -
Interim Project ManagerTomatosphere Usa - First The Seed Foundation May 2015 - Dec 2016Alexandria, VirginiaI have been assisting with the implementation of the Tomatosphere Project in the United States ... again ... As a consultant with First the Seed Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia.First the Seed Foundation is working with CASIS and NASA on a proposal to send more seeds to the International Space Station. In addition, the proposal will look at some opportunities for exciting teacher involvement vis-à-vis the laboratory on the International Space Station. More to come from the Project Manager...but...you should know that two ofthe phases are either complete or in progress; we ...ooops ... THEY ... are sending data loggers with the seeds to the ISS in March. At later dates, Tomatosphere will GERMINATE tomato seeds on the ISS and finally....will actually GROW tomatoes on the ISS....biggest problem will be making sure that the astronauts and cosmonauts not eat them all, but send some back to Earth for analysis.

Educational ConsultantPickontario Jan 2015 - Jan 2016pickOntario is a marketing campaign to help raise awareness, interest and demand for Ontario-grown cut flowers and potted plants. pickOntario was developed and is directed by Flowers Canada (Ontario) Inc., which is the representative organization for Ontario greenhouse floriculture producers. I developed curricular materials to assist classroom teachers in Ontario to implement the plants components of the primary program (grade 1 - 3), structures (i.e. greenhouses) in grades 5-6, and to help teachers get in touch with local greenhouses for meaningful visits. Part of the curricular package includes a visit to a "virtual" greenhouse and a "fun with flowers" visual introduction to floriculture for younger children.

Project ManagerCanadian Space Agency Feb 2002 - Sep 2014Dundas, OntarioProject Manager for Tomatosphere, a science/education program with over 18 000 classrooms involved. Developed curriculum for project and managed the day-to-day operations. Tomatosphere received 600 000 tomato seeds which were housed on the International Space Station for 22 months. They were distributed to schools across Canada (and some in the US) in the spring of 2014. All of the activity related to Tomatosphere is "real science" for students - their results help in planning for the long-range trip to Mars in the future. -

AuthorPearson Canada 1977 - 2014With Prentice-Hall ... and then Pearson ... In total, the three atlases have sold approximately 400 000 copies, mostly to Canadian schools. Each atlas was accompanied by a teacher's manual. The second version's guide was 907 pages!!!! The most recent atlas and teacher's guide are currently used in schools across Canada - the Pearson School Atlas of Canada.
