I am responsible for sales growth and assistance of business growth for the independent distributors in the Utah/Idaho/Wyoming territory.

Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.Solicit funds from vendors for marketing programs.Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers.Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.Reconcile vendor invoices.Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.Prepare Sales POS materials.Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in inventory control.Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.Participate in trade show preparations and activities.Participate in resolving customer issues.Participate in plan-o-gram development, compliance, and execution.Communicate with intra-department company personnel.Prepare for and participate in company meetings when applicable. Attend applicable vendor functions and other business industry functions.Identify and develop training opportunities.Administer on-line purchasing systems and vendor portal.
