- Directed overall operations, programs and maintenance protocols for Munster Parks and Recreation- Managed a budget of 3.2 million- Supervised a team of 17 full-time and 300 part-time/seasonal employees- Coordinated activities with other departments, outside agencies and the general public- Supervised the development of a 200-acre park, a former landfill site. The park includes pedestrian/bike trails, amphitheater, dog run area, clubhouse, community center and 9-hole executive golf course.- Secured a $900,000 grant from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for the construction of the Munster’s leg of Pennsy Greenway, the state’s first bi-state cooperative bike/pedestrian path- Partnered with the Board of Parks and Recreation to develop a long-term strategic plan - Established dynamic and reciprocal partnerships with government and community organizations

- Planned, organized and supervised comprehensive leisure programs for a community of 20,000 - Managed the operation of the department’s 1,000 bather-load capacity aquatic facility- Solicited and secured the funding and community support for the Town of Munster’s Blues, Jazz & Fine Arts Festival, Annual Car Show and Summer Concert Series- Supervised 3 full-time Recreation Supervisors and a team of part-time staff and volunteers- Increased program revenues over 100%

- Obtained state and local funding for the Havana Riverwalk Project, securing funds from multiple governmental bodies, including a $380,000 grant from the State of Illinois- Planned, staffed, directed and evaluated all Parks and Recreation activities- Supervised 3 full-time and 50 part-time employees while managing a budget of $250,000- Negotiated cooperative ventures with the Havana Park District and the City of Havana to decrease utility costs and promote mutually beneficial partnerships- Reviewed and analyzed departmental services, made necessary improvements and led long-term strategic planning efforts

- Planned, developed and executed fund development and marketing activities for organization dedicated to positively impacting the lives of individuals with disabilities through recreation- Identified and solicited donors representing corporate enterprises, foundations and local businesses- Conducted studies of fees and services and modified campaigns to ensure success- Supervised the development of all public relations materials- Administered the goals and objectives under the association’s long-term strategic plan
