Planned and directed the work of a team that developed, recommended, and implemented credit risk standards for servicing products and wholly-owned assets in Fannie Mae’s loan portfolio. Applied credit management tactics to current and proposed products to develop appropriate structures to mitigate credit risks. Oversaw the team that maintained Fannie Mae’s Servicing Guide to ensure it appropriately reflected current policies, servicing requirements and standards. Ensured compliance with Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Directives and GSE alignment.

Identified and secured business opportunities with the federal government and GSEs. Helped hedge funds/private equity firms service their whole loan assets and securities. Worked with private investors to identify, analyze and value investment opportunities in distressed assets including single- and multi-family real estate. Assisted loan-servicing companies to identify and acquire additional servicing assets and to comply with investor requirements.

Led the Servicing division’s project and initiatives work in the development, tracking and implementation of initiatives and business-enabled technical projects. Many of these projects were enterprise or industry-wide with exceptionally high internal and external visibility. Lead business architect for Streamlined Modification Program (SPM), Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and other servicing programs designed to reduce credit loss severity and enhance the economic value of the servicing portfolio. Created competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans. Led the strategic business initiative project management units and worked closely with the various divisions of Freddie Mac’s Servicing Operations to manage the $1.8 trillion dollar servicing portfolio and its master servicing oversight of more than 1,300 primary loan servicers.
