The Borough of Duncannon was designated by The Appalachian Trail Conservancy™ as an Appalachian Trail Community™ in October 2011. Appalachian Trail Community™ is a new program created by the ATC to recognize communities for their part in promoting awareness of the Appalachian Trail as an important national and local resource. The program is designed to increase local stewardship of public lands, support community initiatives for sustainable economic development, conservation planning and support healthy lifestyles for local residents.

With three non insurance related partners, I purchased a book of business from the Camp Hill office from Ryon insurance. Our business plan called for us to market a WC program to newspaper owners in Pa and then rollout on a national basis. . The LLC members disbanded in Aug 2009.

Opened and developed a $2.2 million book of commercial business. My target accounts were hard to place accounts due to exposures, high experience modifiers or claims. I worked with clients to implement safety programs and then get them certified with the State. I presented a Prevailing Wage seminar to Members of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Keystone and ABC Eastern Association. Once attended the ABC National Convention to market a prevailing wage program.

My job was to develop a captive and then a oversee the marketing of a regional/national apartment. Duties included obtaining favorable reinsurance, working with third party vendors to handle the claims and loss control functions and develop the back room support to underwrite and issues the policies.

Direct Writer-Producer with Nationwide Commercial Division. Managed a staff of five CSR's with a $3.9 million book of business. On of the Top Producers inWestern Operation for Nationwide/Wausau forthree years once placing second in overall production company wide, Target accounts were Construction, Food Wholesale, Large Fleets of Trucks and Commercial Property accounts. I wrote the first REIT with 65 shopping centers.

Field Underwriter--Rural Markets office in the middle of Texas. The book size was $45 million and I was the lead underwriter/manager for all casualty lines of coverage.My job was to work with agents to develope a profitable book of business and help present larger accounts. Attended Underwriting training school finishing top in my class.Trucking, Apartment, Commercial Buildings, Contractors, Wholesalers--have worked on all classes of business.
