I manage large accounts (cemetery, funeral home and monument dealers) in Ohio and Kentucky for the Cemetery Division. This includes developing and maintaining good customer relations, consult on future plans, cremation gardens, and mausoleums. I consult on growing the business through marketing, promotions,and utilizing technology. I create business solutions, and long term planning. I train on new products, and interface with various internal departments to help make sure projects are managed properly.

Developed, enhanced, and serviced 150 sales accounts regularly every 8 weeks in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania; customers ranged from car dealers to independent tire dealers/wholesalers/big box units including Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club and Sears; trained sales associates by providing two formal training classes per year covering new product offerings and promotions and successful customer sales strategies; prepared feedback sales reports daily for marketing and sales management groups on each account sales call; Conducted inventory review and made suggestions on what products and quantity the stores should have. Became 3rd most productive Retail Development Specialist in company by increasing sales 14.6% (+52K tires) in 2010; sales continued to increase in 2011 by an additional 3%. Achieved first place finish for “excellent service and top tire representative” on internal vendor Survey conducted by Appalachian Tire in West Virginia.

Developed and delivered training on new products, promotions and updates on national promotions to support the account managers of regional independent dealers in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Arkansas; trained account associates on salesmanship for the Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands; focused regular business visits and attendance at customer appreciation events on “Top of Mind” awareness strategies which drove incremental business in accounts. Visited each store at least quarterly to conduct training. Conducted training classes at the account's headquarters. Became technical advisor to the stores.

Helped define the role of this new corporate position and provided leadership for future associates promoted to the position; developed and delivered training on new products, promotions and updates on national promotions to support the account managers for Wal-Mart, Sears, Sam's Club, Tire Kingdom, and others. The core territory was Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, with West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee occasionally added in. I created "Top of Mind" awareness to accounts that had not previously been called on by Goodyear and overcame preferences from competitors. I introduced new products, taught salesmanship, and general tire knowledge. Visited over 200 accounts quarterly providing sales and merchandise training including grand opening 5 hour training modules for 10-20 Wal-Mart associates per class for each new store opening. Annually ranked as a top performer on the Goodyear customer survey report.

Cold called to create an account base with garages, tire dealers, car dealers, gas stations, body shops, and government agencies. Once opened I serviced the accounts, managed their credit, inventory, helped with their promotions, training, handled any adjustment issues, and by the time I left the position I had about 699 active accounts.
