About Robert Purpuro

I am a native DC Metro area resident (Alexandria, VA) and a lifelong Washington Capitals fan. Currently, I am employed at The Fortis Academy where I train players and teams, and work on their physical development. In the past, I have worked within the Washington Capitals organization, working part-time in their Youth Hockey Development department, and at the Capitals practice rink, Medstar Capitals Iceplex, as a hockey instructor where I have led camps and provided individual and group instruction to both children and adults. Before entering college, I played four years of Varsity Hockey at Bishop Ireton HS, where I was a co-captain. Before and throughout high school, I played at the AAA level, with the Washington Little Caps DC-based travel team (15U – 18U.)
