About Robert Rae
Robert’s first career was in the marine transportation industry. He then succumbed to Stage 4B Lymphoma in 2003. From this experience Robert discovered the benefits of consuming hemp foods as they helped him with some of the side effects of the cancer treatments. In 2006 he co-founded Canada Hemp Foods (CHF). Since then he has been actively seeking new markets for Canadian hemp food products both domestically and abroad. In 2016 CHF had a very successful year marketing hemp foods into South Korea.Robert joined the Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance (CHTA) board of directors in November 2016 and immediately joined the Government Relations Committee. During this tenure he assisted with meaningful changes taking place with Health Canada. He also chaired the Pacific Rim Hemp Conference committee. He currently is Co-chair of the CHTA’s Market Development Committee.
