Mr. Rathbun is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with a security specialization (MCSE: security). He possesses over 17 years of increasingly complex job experiences with numerous operating systems such as: Windows Server 2016, 2012, Windows 10, and various flavors of UNIX, virtualization technologies such as VMware 6.5, 5.x, and Microsoft Hyper-V. He possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills with applications, operating systems, and network traffic analysis. He also possesses expert level skills in incident response, security design, and operating system image creation and deployment using various Windows Deployment System technologies such as SCCM. Mr. Rathbun also possesses a broad and in-depth knowledge of security policies such as NIST 800-53, FIPS standards, IEEE standards, RFC’s, and other business drivers in his professional area of focus. He has been responsible for the security of large scale enterprise networks that literally spanned the globe. These included the DoD GIG, Department of Justice DOJNet, and Defense Logistics Agency, and Large-Scale HP and Northrop Grumman virtualized lab environments. His broad technical skills include knowledge of malware analysis, cloud technologies, virtualization, infrastructure design, virtualization security, network security, active directory, enforcing controls compliance with DOD and NIST controls, DISA and NIST hardening guides, Microsoft AppDetective, Foundstone, MBSA, ISS Scanner, Nessus, eEYE Retina, GFI Languard, SCAP based scanners, HBSS suite, Core Impact, and many other open source penetration and security tools.Mr. Rathbun’s currently serves as Senior Principle Systems Engineer working on the bleeding edge of IT at Northrop Grumman!
