Leading a global team of 70 commercially-focused professionals, across Operations, Bunker Purchasing, Demurrage, Fleet Performance, Port Agency and Contract Management as an integral part of the Products & Crude Freight Trading businesses.

· Managing Commercial Operators supporting LPG, Chemical Feedstocks, Base Oil & Freight Trading desks· Acting as Coordinator for Global Products Freight Operations, supporting 100+ Time-Charter vessel trading position

· Commercial Operations business lead for design & implementation phases of an international restructuring project for European Products Trading & Supply business · Project scope included design of the future organizational structure location & footprint and further merging of Trading & Supply activities· Engagement & consultation with senior commercial & operational stakeholders· Close cooperation with HR on a wide variety of staffing challenges· Commercial Operations focal-point in a number of other major & minor business improvement projects

· Dimensions: approx. 35m mt/y turnover, 1,000 physical deals per month, 13 FTE covering blending, international cargo and inland barge operations throughout NWE· Responsible for integrating BeNeLux & DACh inland supply-chain operations & optimization activity into trading ops team for Diesel and Heating Oil· Implemented restructuring of operations team to increase market-focus· Management of supply-chain obligations with Shell Aviation, Retail, Commercial Marketing, Manufacturing classes of business· Performed extended cover for Rhine Commercial Operations Manager (110 staff in 2 offices)· Lead staff capability planning and recruitment for 60 FTE Rhine Operations community · Drove reduction of barge demurrage costs (multi-million/y) at interface with Pernis refinery· Initiated reduction of working-capital exposure (USD 50m) through improved control in systems & invoicing process

· Acted in leading capacity for merger of UK and NL trading desks to form one European FO trading book in Shell Trading Rotterdam· Management of a team of 5, growing to 15 Commercial operators, covering activity throughout NWE (barge & int’l cargo), Baltics, Med, Black Sea, North & West Africa· Implemented integration of Shell Marine Fuels marketing business into trading desk combining blending and delivery of finished-grade bunkers to marine customers in NWE (incl. operational set-up, managing customer value proposition, overcoming fiscal requirements)· Management of blender roles optimizing product quality and scheduling operations throughout multiple 3rd party storage locations in ARA, Scandinavia and Med· Actively involved in storage contract negotiations and ongoing performance tracking· Management of Manufacturing interface for Fuel Oil off-take at 8 Shell refinery sites in NWE· Provided operational input into divestment of Shell Gothenburg and Stanlow refineries

· Sourcing & negotiation of spot & term Naphtha & Condensate grades ex-AG/RS/India as feedstock for Shell crackers and refineries, and to support overall trading position· Exposure management of time-charter and derived freight exposure using FFA swaps· Negotiated and won large annual tender of condensate ex-AG previously never purchased by Shell, creating value for trading book and Chinese JV cracker

· 2 years’ experience on Base Oils Trading Desk giving an introduction to product quality and interface to niche counterparts in exotic regions· 1 year experience on Chem-feed Trading Desk incl. time-charter vessel optimization and managing equity stream offtakes

· Managed operations in a dynamic, high-volume market. Built strong relationships with market players. Exposure to BFO ‘chain’ nomination & optimization

· Experiences working in rotation in Marine Strategy, Futures Settlements, Demurrage, Post-deal expense management
