I now work as a Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering the University of Hertfordshire, specialising in the subject areas of Connected Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Vehicles.I have worked in secondary school education as the Assistant Subject Leader of Mathematics at the independent school St Columba's College in St Albans. I am a passionate STEM advocate working as the School Outreach Tutor for the Departments of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Kingston University London and also working as the Education Officer for the Greater London Regional branch of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.I have previously worked as a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Kingston University London. I am also the "Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach Tutor" for the Department of Mechanical Engineering.I am have worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London. In this role I performed work selecting and testing servomechanical components for use in a novel design of medical MRI scanner.I have previously worked as a trainee Patent Attorney, training with Scott & York Intellectual Property based in St Albans, Herts where I achieved part qualified status.I specialise in the subject of Mechanical Engineering having completed a Doctorate and a Masters degree in this subject both at the University of Bath. I have also worked as a Research Fellow for Department of Mechanical Engineering of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, working on a collaborative research project with Cummins Power Generation.My PhD was entitled "The Optimisation of a High Speed Servomechanism" and sought to develop methods of reducing the amplitude of high frequency vibrations induced when a mechanism is actuated at a high speed. Three conference papers have been published which are based on this work.I have significant industrial and academic experience and I am bi-lingual having lived, worked and studied in Germany.
