Substantial experience of teaching undergraduates and Masters students as well as supervising many Masters dissertations and Doctoral research.Advanced skills nurtured through substantial accrued experience in delivering in-depth and sophisticated academic concepts, theories, evidence and analysis via lectures, seminars, dissertations and doctoral thesis supervision. Several years of business experience working as an Economist for Unilever plc working on macroeconomic and international political economy issues (specialising in China and East Asia, Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa), corporate strategy and competitor analysis. Substantial high level consultancy experience working on international projects for firms, national governments and most major international organisations (including The World Bank, WTO, UNEP and EU), with focusing on trade policy, exports, foreign direct investment and growth strategies for small economies (especially in the Caribbean and Pacific).
